Description
A beautifully preserved 1992 Cannondale T600 touring bike in the hard-to-find 60cm size. This is a one-owner bike that was very lightly ridden and remains remarkably original, with a few smart modern upgrades that make it much more useful as a rider today.
The T600 was Cannondale’s purpose-built touring platform: a lightweight aluminum frame handbuilt in the USA, stable touring geometry, wide gearing, cantilever brakes, 700c wheels, and provisions for bottles, racks and fenders.
This example has been upgraded with SunTour Barcon bar-end shifters, Panaracer GravelKing SK+ 700×35C tan-wall tires, and a Cannondale Fabric saddle. It has been fully serviced and tuned by The Whistle Bike Shop and is ready to ride.

Why This Bike Matters
The T600 comes from an interesting period in American bicycle manufacturing. Cannondale was building aluminum frames in Pennsylvania at a time when most quality touring bikes were still steel, and the company developed a distinctly American interpretation of the traditional touring bicycle.
This one is particularly appealing because it hasn't been turned into a modern parts-bin build. The original character is still there. The Shimano/Dia-Compe/Nitto/Modolo equipment keeps it rooted in its period, while the Barcons, 35mm GravelKings and Fabric saddle make it considerably nicer to actually ride.
The 60cm frame also matters. Large vintage touring bikes are substantially harder to find than mid-sized examples. For the right tall rider, this isn't merely an interesting old Cannondale—it is a genuinely usable touring, rail-trail and all-road bicycle.
And the GravelKings subtly change what the bike can be today. With 35mm SK+ tires, it moves comfortably beyond pavement into crushed limestone, towpaths and maintained gravel without sacrificing its classic touring identity.
About The Whistle Bike Shop
This bicycle has been inspected, serviced and tuned by The Whistle Bike Shop, an independent Pittsburgh bicycle shop established in 2013.
Unlike buying an unknown vintage bicycle from a garage, estate sale or online seller, this bike has been gone through by a working bicycle shop. Braking, shifting and general mechanical function have been checked and adjusted so the bike is being sold as a ready-to-ride bicycle, not as an as-found restoration project.
Vintage bicycles will naturally show cosmetic evidence of age and use; photographs are part of the condition description.
